How much does the Sushi Tei Rewards cost?

There is a one-time membership fee of S$68 (inclusive of GST). Upon successful sign-up, new members will receive a welcome gift of ST$80 credited to their membership accounts which can be used immediately to offset their bill.

How do I sign up as a member of Sushi Tei Rewards?

What is the minimum age required to apply to be a Sushi Tei Rewards member?

What is the validity of the Sushi-Tei membership?

The Membership Term is valid for one (1) year from the date of Activation, extended till the end of the month of Membership expiry in the following year. (e.g. If the activation is made on 2 January 2018, the membership term will expire on 31 January 2019.)

Where can I check the expiry date of my membership?

What is Sushi Tei Rewards?

Sushi Tei Rewards is a card-less membership programme introduced to reward regular customers with exclusive privileges and benefits whenever they dine at any Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya).

What will happen to my existing Sushi Tei Membership card?

The Sushi Tei Membership card will be replaced by a card-less membership programme. Accordingly, your existing Sushi Tei Membership Card will no longer be valid.

What will happen to my existing Sushi Tei Membership?

Your existing Sushi Tei Membership will continue under Sushi Tei Rewards programme until your existing membership term expires. To enjoy rebate and earn ST$, please provide your phone number upon payment of your bill. To redeem your ST$/e-vouchers, simply inform us your phone number in person for verification at the point of redemption.

*Please note that the Member ID will be changed to mobile number in 2019, in line with PDPA Advisory Guidelines. Do update your mobile number via the Sushi Tei Rewards portal at (membership.sushitei.com).

What will happen to my existing Sushi Tei e-vouchers?

You may continue to redeem your existing Sushi Tei e-vouchers until they expire.

What will happen to my existing Sushi Tei Points?

You may continue to redeem your existing Sushi Tei Points for e-vouchers until 2 Dec 2018, after which, unexpired Sushi Tei Points will be automatically converted to ST$ at a one-time preferential rate of 250 Sushi Tei Points = ST$1. (e.g. 888 Sushi Tei Points = ST$3.55).

What are the benefits and privileges of being a Sushi Tei Rewards member?
  • New members will receive a welcome gift of ST$80 credited to their Membership accounts upon sign-up, which shall be available for use immediately.
  • Existing members will receive a renewal gift of ST$60 credited to their Membership account at the point of renewal, which shall be available for use immediately.
  • Members shall earn a 10% rebate (or 20% rebate during their birthday month) in the form of ST$ on their nett bill amounts (applicable for both dine-ins and takeaways) at any Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya).*
  • ST$ earned can be used to offset against their next bill (for dine-in or takeaway) or be used to redeem exclusive Sushi Tei merchandise.
  • All members shall receive regular updates on exclusive Sushi Tei deals and promotions and special invites to members-only events.

Can I transfer my membership or ST$ to another member?
  • Membership is strictly not transferrable.
  • ST$ or Sushi Tei points are non transferable or combined to/with other Sushi Tei Rewards membership account.
How do I update a change of mobile number or email address?

Member shall inform Sushi Tei of any change of his/her contact particulars such as his/her contact number (mobile number) and email address via the Sushi Tei Rewards portal at (membership.sushitei.com) or by writing at [email protected]

  • Members shall present a proof of verification as and when required for the changes (Telco bill / Email record with Sushi Tei).

 

  • Where notice is required to be given to a Member, such notice shall be deemed to have been given by Sushi Tei to a Member if it is sent to any email address and/or mobile telephone number provided by the Member that is on record with Sushi Tei, or the latest address of the Member that is on record with Sushi Tei:
    (a) on the day of delivery, if sent by hand;
    (b) on the next day after posting, if sent by post; or
    (c) on the day of sending, if sent by email / SMS.

 

  • When a new Member registers using an existing mobile number registered in the system due to the existing/past Member did not update ST with the updated mobile number. ST will accept the newly registered Member as the owner of the mobile number since he/she will be able to confirm via OTP authentication. ST$ and benefits shall be automatically forfeited in the existing/past Member account and the existing/past Member shall have no further claim against Sushi Tei.

    *In accordance with PDPA Advisory Guidelines, we are unable to verify NRIC for the rightful ownership of the Membership account. This is due to the change in the Member ID to a mobile number in 2019 and we do not have any record of NRIC in our system.

Membership Renewal

What are the fees for renewing my membership?

A renewal fee of S$40 (inclusive of GST) is applicable, and you will receive ST$60 credited to your membership account at the start of your new membership term.

How do I renew my membership?

You may wish to proceed to any of our Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore(excluding Hokkaido-ya) in person to have your membership account renew instantly. The renewal fee of S$40 and receive ST$60 rebates (will be credited to your account).

The renewal of membership on Sushi Tei takeaway website/app is currently unavailable. 

Renewal email reminders will be dispatched to the member’s registered email address one month before the expiry date. If the customer has opted out of receiving these reminders, emails will not be sent. However, customers can still log in to the member portal at Member Portal | Sign In (sushitei.com) to check their membership status.

How do I pay for the membership renewal?

Can I authorize a representative to renew my membership on your behalf?

We do not accept any authorized representative to renew the membership on your behalf. The original membership account holder will have to renew in person at any of our Sushi Tei Restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya).

Can I renew my membership before expiry?

Yes, your membership can be renewed within one (1) month prior to expiry. However, your new membership term will only start after your current membership term ends.

Renewal email reminders will be dispatched to the member’s registered email address one month before the expiry date. If the customer has opted out of receiving these reminders, emails will not be sent. Can I still renew my membership after it has expired?

Yes, you can still renew your membership after its expiry. The new membership term will start from the date of renewal (i.e. if your membership expires on 31 January 2019 but is renewed only on 2 March 2019, your new membership term will commence on 2 March 2019 and expire on 31 March 2020.)

All rebates will be forfeited if the member fails to renew their account within grace period of three months from the membership expiry date. Following this period, the ST$ will be considered forfeited, and no extension period will be granted under any circumstances.

Renewal email reminders will be dispatched to the member’s registered email address one month before the expiry date. If the customer has opted out of receiving these reminders, emails will not be sent. However, customers can still log in to the member portal at Member Portal | Sign In (sushitei.com) to check their membership status.

Earning and Redemption of ST$

What are ST$?

Members earn rebates in the form of ST$ on their dining bills (for both dine-in and takeaway) at any Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya), that can be used to offset their next dining bill or to redeem exclusive Sushi Tei merchandise.*

How do I earn ST$?
  • Earn 10% rebate in the form of ST$ on your nett bill (dine-in or takeaway)* at any Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya).
  • Earn 20% rebate in the form of ST$, on the nett bill, over unlimited visits during your birthday month (excluding Hokkaido-ya).

*Does not apply to promotional items, delivery orders or reservations or food orders made via third party platforms. Rebates will be calculated based on the nett bill amount for food and beverage only. Nett bill amount refers to the amount payable after redemption of ST$ (if applicable) and the application of all relevant discounts, vouchers and coupons and before service charge and any applicable taxes. Yes, ST$ can be earned* on both dine-in and takeaway orders, with the exception of delivery orders(eg. Grabfood) and food orders via third party platforms.

Do I have to be present to earn or redeem ST$?

Yes, you must be present to earn / redeem ST$. You are also required to present your photo ID for verification purposes at the point of payment for redemption of ST$.

How do I redeem ST$?

ST$ accumulated can be redeemed to offset against the total dining bill on your next visit to any Sushi Tei restaurant in Singapore (excluding Hokkaido-ya). ST$ can also be used to redeem exclusive Sushi Tei merchandise, subject to availability.

Are there any exceptions where ST$ cannot be redeemed?

ST$ accumulated cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase Sushi Tei vouchers/e-vouchers. ST$ cannot be used to offset membership application or renewal fees.

Can I redeem ST$ for cash?

No, ST$ cannot be exchanged for cash or Sushi Tei vouchers/e-vouchers.

Are ST$ refundable?

No, all redemptions of ST$ shall be irrevocable, irreversible and shall not be refunded or transferred back to a member’s account under any circumstances whatsoever.

Are ST$ transferrable?

No, ST$ are non-transferrable and cannot be combined with other memberships. Only one membership can be used per transaction.

Will ST$ expire?

Upon the expiration of the membership, any remaining ST$ balance within the membership cannot be redeemed. To reinstate the expired ST$ into their account, members must renew their membership within three months after it expires. Subsequently, rebates will be forfeited if the member fails to renew their account within this three-month window.

Please note that the ST$ balance will be held for a grace period of three months from the membership expiry date. Following this period, the ST$ will be considered forfeited, and no extension period will be granted under any circumstances.
